Colquitt Electrical Membership Corporation selected STS to link their six offices with the Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform. STS, having already developed and managed the linking of all of Colquitt EMC’s offices for data transfer, integrated the Mitel VOIP platform over their data infrastructure providing the customer with the ability to direct dial any office of theirs without incurring any long distance charges. STS also made sure to setup the phone system so that any outgoing calls would use the least cost path for Colquitt EMC. SAFT, the world’s leading manufacturer of nickel-cadmium batteries for industrial applications and of primary lithium batteries for a wide range of end markets. SAFT made the decision to implement its first VOIP PBX at its Valdosta manufacturing plant and chose STS to design and implement the solution that best met their needs. STS implemented the Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform as well as the Messaging Server platform at the Valdosta plant. The 3300 ICP was robust enough to handle the 200 analog extensions and over 80 IP handsets that needed to be placed in this plant. The Messaging Server from Mitel allowed SAFT to unify their Voice Mail and Email platforms into one synchronized database. SAFT employees can access their voice mail and email from either their phones or their computers at anytime. This provides efficiencies for the employees as well as allows for SAFT’s IT department the ability to easily backup both voicemail and email from the same platform.

Barnes Healthcare Services is a family owned health care services company that has 17 locations in South Georgia and North Florida to serve it's patients. Barnes Healthcare, having been a longtime customer of Southern Telephone Service, Inc., was at existing system capacity on their Nortel Norstar phone system when this project began. They looked to STS to come up with a solution to allow for growth in the future as well as be able to take advantage of their existing IP network linking their 17 locations. STS proposed and implemented the Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform in the Valdosta, Gainesville, and Tallahassee locations as of July 2005. STS has also implemented the Mitel 6100 Call Center Management platform for patient billing in the Valdosta store. This call center package allows management and supervisors to see real time status of the billing call queue as well as generate historical reports that will help management to better equip the employees and staff to provide exemplary customer service to their patients.
